Install Problem

  Deathwatch 11:59 15 Jan 05

Every time I try to install a new program or patch ones that I have I get a message telling me that the files are corrupt and cannot be installed! Any ideas?

Can you post the exact error message please. Which version of Windows?

Are you disabling your anti-virus? Many installation programmes don't like anti-virus programmes running while they operate.

I've tried disabling the anti-virus - thanks Peter.

I'm using windows xp(home).

I get a mix of error message

Error 1335
Internal error 2350
Error 1603 - fatal error

All sounds scary doesn't it?!

VoG - this sounds promising - weird thing is though when I work thru the msconfig route my computer does not seem to have a Boot.ini tab on the system config utility??

Have you checked to see if you have the boot.ini file?

If you don't, you can create it click here
