I want to give my "old" Lexmark 3200 printer to a friend who has a Dell PC running Windows98. The printer has been in my attic for several years, complete with installation disc and cables. Is the printer software still operable on a Dell that was bought in 2000?

Operating systems: Microsoft Windows XP (all versions), 4.0 (all versions), 95, 2000 (all versions), 98 (all versions)

should work with right drivers...

But it will not load to VISTA as I don't think any Lexmark will at the moment. They do not appear to be bothered about making drivers for VISTA

Thanks for the link, Santos7. I assume the driver (if needed) will be free?

Thanks, Woodchip, re: Vista - there's no chance this person will get involved with Vista - she's a beginner.

Should be, you can always find drivers , the manufacturers homepage should direct you to what you may need.
i would install it with what you have and see if it works first, good luck..
