Install on Demand detection error - help please

Windows 98

Am getting a message when loading internet explorer stating that "Install on demand has detected an error - unspecified".

Underneath this box is another box that states " Need to download & install VIsual Basic Scripting Support". However, when I click on the "unspecified error" box it gets rid of both.

Do I need to download and install this, and if so, any ideas on where i can find this from - microsoft website can find download but hangs computer.

Also - don't know if it is related - but problems with mouse on internet explorer - can point and click, but will not acknowledge text boxes within websites.

Help needed asap.

Sounds like you could do with a repair of Internet explorer. Either reinstall it, or if you have IE6, go to add/remove programs and choose to removeIE and you will get an option to repair.
