Inserting Picture On Icon

  Molly_Don 05:08 31 Jul 09

I have a several word documents on my desktop, (it suites me to have them there)

I'd like to cover each icon up with a picture, is it possible, if so, how do I do it please?
(I hope it's simple)

Right-click icon - Properties - Shortcut - Change Icon

I followed what you said, but there is no "Shortcut" under properties.

I've checked other desktop icons properties > shortcut > change icon, but none showing under word document > properties >

If you have the Word doc saved to your desktop directly it won't have the Shortcut tab in properties. If you right click and click on Create Shortcut it will have the Shortcut tab in the properties of the new shortcut.

The sensible way is to save the document in your My Documents folder then create a shortcut to put on your desktop. You can then do as ened says.
