Why do I get this at start up and can only bootup in safe mode?.
Tried to reset and computer shuts down

Most likely reason is the refresh rate is set too high on your graphic card. From safe mode lower it to 60hz then reboot PC. Please post back to this thread and let us know how you get on, also type/make/model of monitor. j.

Yeh, most likely refresh rate. And check your monitor can handle the resolution you are running, e.g. 1024 x 768, or whatever.

Boot up and tap the F8 key at the same time. This will open the options page, use your keyboard arrow keys to move up/down and choose "VGA mode" this will allow a display on your pc, then right click on your desktop.

Choose properties/settings/advanced/adaptor tab. Click on "show all modes" and select a refresh rate to suit your monitor.

Try the following to start with.

15" 1024x768 at 60hz

17" 1280x1024 at 75hz

Give this a try and please let us know how you get on. If this does not help, we can try something else. j.
