Increasing hd size with Xp

I'm thinking of increasing the size of my hd (currently an IDE 80gig) to something larger.

I've heard, and read with Xp that sometimes the OS doesn't always recognise the larger sizes, and was wondering what I can go too, without causing any problems?

Any advice?

Steve

I think service pack 2 sorted out the hard drive limit,All should be fine

And sarcasm will get you nowhere LOL

ICF,I don't think SB23 was being sarcastic,I believe he meant to put his post in the Helproom forum as opposed to the absolute beginners,if you had looked at the time difference between his posts,4 minutes, you would have spotted that yourself.er LOL.

As an 'idiot' can anyone explain what 'LOL' means, it appears everywhere and 'lots of love' is all I can think of - is that right?

OK, 'laugh out loud'.
Google is my friend as someone on here likes to say!!

I prefer lots of love.

Thanks for your replies, as long as I know that the hd size will / should not cause any problems with Xp, then I will increase it soon.

Thanks

Steve
