I am getting an error message along the lines of "less than 15% disk space" D is where I do backups to, cannot seem to find how to backup to dvd. Can I allocate some more disk space to D? or shall I delete the backups in D, if so how can I backup to DVD/CD

Thanks

WRG

What version of Windows? What's giving the error message? When does it occur?

You can change the size of the D: partition using a program like Partition Magic, but it costs (I don't know any free ones). The amount you allocate to it would have to come from any other partitions you have so there has to be free space in these partitions.

What do you want to backup? There are free DVD burners you can use.

Have you thought about another hard drive?

Thank you all for your responses. I am using Vista Basic and I get the error message when doing a performance check. I do have a DVD writer in my lappie but when I want to do a backup it defaults to D and I cannot seem to change it.
