Importing a PST file to Outlook

  Nick1 16:37 27 Oct 03

I am staying with my son whose computer runs W2000. I have set myself up as a new user with administrator rights (for the moment). I have installed Outlook 2000 and am trying to add the pst file that I copied from my home computer (Also W2K and Outlook 2K) so that I have all of my emails and addresses available.

I have tried open from the button bar and Import through the file menu but I get the following messages:

"Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use."

If I click OK the help assistant pops up and says:

"File access is denied. YOu do not have the permission required to access the file: pathame of the file that I am trying to import>"

I have set the permissions for this file to be accessed by everyone.

Any ideas?

Sorry to be thick but where do I find the "appropriate user's profile folder"?
