Importing DVD film clips to Windows Movie Maker

A commercial company has transferred my old VHS home movies onto DVDs.

I have been trying without success to import these films into Windows Movie Maker so that I can edit the films. I am unable to import them since the file type seems not to be supported. The files are like this:
VTS_01_1_.VOB

I would appreciate any advice on how to import the films into Windows Movie Maker.

Nobody seems to have offered a reply - so here is my two pennies worth! - at least it will bump you up the list.

I think that you will ahve to convert the files into a format supported by MM2. I am fairly familar with MM2 (but not using vob files!). A quick trip to google threw up this lot click here

Have a trawl through those and see if you get a result. I've had a quick look and it all looks very complicated!

Good luck!
