Images preview on windows 2000

My operation system is w2000.
Until now I was using PhotoShop ver.4 and I was able in windows Explorer when I highlighted with my mouse an Image file eg jpg, gif etc to view its contents on the left side.

I installed PhotoShop ver 7 and now all image files have been associated with PhotoShop and I can not see the preview in Windows Explore.
I changed the folder image preview with the wizard on: VIEW, CUSTOMIZE FORLDER, IMAGE PREVIEW and I can see the images in that folder again.

I have checked in help to find a way to change the settings Universally in all folders but I can not find any instructions.

Is there a way to change the IMAGE PREVIEW settings Universally in all folders so not to have to do it for each individual folder, which it will take me about 2 days doing it?

Thank you
