images in desktop backgrounds

I have had a background image for some time now and just decided to change the background.

I seem to have aquired all my pictures as well as the normal choice?

Anyone any idea how this has happened? and how i can get rid of them?

I think this is the default action for any photo's saved in my pictures. IE: It will add them to your wallpaper folder which is, C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper

I have the same problem that I solved by making a new folder in my documents, named it photo's and dragged all of the photo's over to it leaving just the wallpaper and any selected extra ones in my pictures folder to show up as backgrounds as well.

Thanks for your reply looking in the folder there is only the usual backgrounds no sign of my pictures in there?

Can't think how they got there not changed any settings ?

They never showed up in my "My Pictures" folder either. But if you make a new folder as suggested above and transfer all your photo's to it then go back to control panel, click on "Desktop" you will see that they are no longer there, just the standard ones.
