Image Software

What is the best and most user-friendly image software? I will be doing a fresh install of windows and when I have my PC as I want it (drivers, software etc) I want to put an image of it on disc should I need it in the future.

Apart from XP, I think it's one of the best pieces of software I have used.

Acronis True Image.
After a catastrophic failure, due to hardware, I used it to restore an image I had done 2 days earlier and in 50 minutes I was up and running again, as if nothing had ever happened.
I brought this product about 18 months ago and have never had to use it to restore till now and it is so easy, it holds your hand.

Is there any free software available or would it not be up to the job?

If you care then spend the money on True Image at least
