Image Copping - Batch Process for Slide Transparen

  JimboJimbo 22:51 28 Apr 03

I frequently scan a large number of slide transparencies on a HP 5370 scanner. The slides are scanned in groups of 4 to speed up the scanning process, resulting in one image with 4 individual pictures separated by a black cross. I then individually crop each picture into an individual image for further processing. Does anybody know of a batch cropping application (preferably freeware) that can separate out the four pictures from the one image. The four images are always in exactly the same place on the scan.

In Corel Photopaint one can set the precise size of the cropping mask in pixels. If you can do this in your program it will speed things up quite a bit.

Can the program set 4 seperate cropping masks on the one image and execute them in one pass, preferable in batch mode?

From the name, "Corel Photopaint", I guess the program is not freeware or even shareware. Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?
