i think you might find, that they would want the money before the download... there is no way they could get the money,anyway.....

  spuds 18:57 06 Sep 03

Most download sites will ask for payment before downloading, if there is a charge. Some sites will let you download on a trial basis with an expiry time log, which will require payment after expiry time.Other sites will really on your honesty, and request a 'donation' for the download.Other sites will let you download for free, with perhaps 'pop-ups' as a revenue raiserWhat ever you do, do not leave credit card details with a un-secure site or one that appears questionable.Hope this helps.

Well, I can see FREE everywhere, but when I'm getting the bill... And nobody can't punished them! We need that application!!!

Do you have a specific case where you received a bill? On your phone bill? On your credit card? There isn't anything available to do what you ask, it is not possible for any program or software to determine if you are being charged.

Are you sure you haven't got a 'dialer' that is calling premium rate numbers without your knowledge? That is a different issue>

Give more details. Then perhaps we can help more.

What is your native language? Perhaps if you post your question in your own language one of our linguists could help you further.

spybot or adaware might help click here click here

if you know the name of the dialer click start/run and type msconfig

click on the start up tab and untick the box next to it,this should stop it starting when windows does.restart the computer in safe mode(tap F5 or F8 at start up)and click start/search or find and type the name of the dialer, delete all you find.

i would also have a look in the registry edit/find and do the same.

try spybot or adaware first though.

Nobody is going to allow you to download software, and then send you a bill later. You pay upfront and then download, or you download a time-expiry evaluation copy.

No software application yet invented is going to be able to determine the value of a download from a third party site - it doesn't exist, so you've heard wrongly.

The only situation in which you may be conned into thinking that something is free when it isn't is when visiting porn sites, but I hasten to add that I'm not for a moment suggesting that you're doing that. The fact remains however, that unless you provide your credit card details and your postal address you can't be charged anything for a download. Free download sites often ask for some personal information - but it never includes a request for card details or a billing address.

What!!! I know people who have got a lots of same bills. If you didn't visit sites of that type you don't know what it is. I've got a bill, it clearly says: "Charging for a phone calls: 15euros, for the Internet:25euros, FOR 30 minutes accesing somesite-(i will not tell)-35euros!
