I'm Thinking Of Buying a Dell Laptop?

A friend wants a laptop to replace a desk PC to save on room & I have been given the dubious task of finding a suitable model. She uses a PC for web surfing banking etc, & plays very light games such as cards & some strategy. It will also be used for her photo collection & manipulating editing etc.

She wants to spend around £600 tops. Long battery life & reliability are very high on the list. I've been looking at the DELL range, does anyone have any other models they can point me too?

Im actually looking at the InspironTM 6400 at £639.

if she's going to use it as a replacement desktop why is battery life an issue? she can run it on mains.

She does intend to go wireless at the same time so the laptop can be used anywhere in the house, the area where the desktop PC is at the moment will be used for other purposes.
