I'm supposed to have 2mb Broadband

I am on NTL 2mb Broadband. Just downloaded two update files for my Nero 6 Reloaded. Both files around 35mb each. The first download came in at 14.1KB/Sec and the second at 47.8KB/Sec. Do either of these times relate to 2mb Broadband and why the difference?

Nero has always had the slowest downloads I have ever come across. i get the same speeds on my 10MB -

No,they're poor. The reason might not be NTL but congestion/poor server at the other end.

Thanks Guys. At least I got them. Have installed them but having lots of problems with NVE, which will be the subject of another Help thread, once I have asked Nero for help.

Try this simple speed test click here to check your connection speed

Smiler, yes done that many times and always get absolutely fantastic speeds.

Just done it again and got:

"Sun, 13 Nov 2005 15:42:52 UTC
1st 128K took 0 ms = Infinity Bytes/sec = approx Infinity kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 0 ms = Infinity Bytes/sec = approx Infinity kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 0 ms = Infinity Bytes/sec = approx Infinity kbits/sec
4th 128K took 0 ms = Infinity Bytes/sec = approx Infinity kbits/sec

These results appear to be rather fast"

So that doesn't prove anything.

Its down to server speed, nothing to do with broadband speed. As a matter of interest I am on Nildram 2meg and got

1st 128K took 530 ms = 247306 Bytes/sec = approx 2058 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 631 ms = 207721 Bytes/sec = approx 1728 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 631 ms = 207721 Bytes/sec = approx 1728 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 942 ms = 139142 Bytes/sec = approx 1158 kbits/sec
