Decided to install 'System Mechanic' from the August Disk.
I currently replaced Acrobat with Foxit.
So the cover pages come up.
select System Mechanic
And a warning comes up the 'Trust Manager set to read only please switch'
Question- What/where 'Trust manager'
Foxit's?
The Disk?
Windoze?

Cant see it anywhere to switch off
Point me in the right direction please somebody

suggests the the 'Trust Manager' is an Acrobat facility.

But I do not have Acrobat installed- I am using Foxit.
So what now?

How did you uninstall Acrobat? It sounds as if bits have got let behind so it might be better to re-install and then use Revo Uninstaller click here to remove it. This gives you the opportunity to remove registry entries and any other bits that have been left over. Free version of Revo is all you need.

To day whilst in London on a visit to the RI it camr to me that even Revo could miss bits.
Looks like I'll have to comb the registry by hand
We shall se
or it reinstrall bloated old Acrobat

When the disk loaded up came an option to select - full page [or not]
Select full page- which of course masks the tool bar.
Run it again ignore the Full Page option
there is the tool Bar with the bit to click to make the files active.
