Over the last few days, on starting up my computer, I have been getting the following notice:-
"SPOOL 32 This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor." A friend told me if I ignored it that it would go away. However so far it keeps rearing it's ugly head. Any advice on getting rid of it, or do I really need to contact the vendor?...Bingalau..

First thing to do with spool 32 is to check that a new driver for your printer is available, is it an HP printer?

If you have Win XP carry out a repair.. If your using an earlier version of windows you need to replace the .dll that has become corrupted. For ME do a system restore to an earlier point and for 98 or 98SE run SFC..

Also you can look up article 264938 in the MWS Knowledge Base on this issue
