i have a firewall and on the info page are a list of iic then a number then .exe ,what are these ,how do i know when to block them and can i find any info on them

What firewall? Normally if you click on the item to highlight it, somewhere on screen it will give you a clue where it originates; if not try right-clicking it.

I suspect that the firewall is auto setting up for connection to AOL. Are you using AOL or AOL messenger or something.

Try doing a search for the exe file and see if you can see where it's located
