Windows XP SP2 all updates Avast anti virus. AOL

I have a virus which keeps returning whenever i visit a certain web site. Avast can identify it and delete it, only to return if i try and access the web page. The obvious answer is ditch the web page but it happens to be a well known hosting company on which i have set up my website and therefore cannot access it. There is a patch from Windows which is redundant since i have IE6 and all upgrades. How can i get rid of this virus and determine if it really comes from the host site or is just a coincidence.
Any help appreciated.

Have you contacted the company,it may well be there server that is in infected,
We had a similar issue with a member at christmas, his server was infected...though dealt with once they were made aware of it.
