I used it but my computer went about 25% slower. After a week or so I uninstalled it and left behind some items of instrest. During uninstall a choice was presented for those items.
You will be asked to insert the xp cdrom to replace the original system files.

Just to add after installation of the vista look you may not be able to use sfc facility and if you did,you may not be able to boot again. Further more if you haven't got the original xp cdrom,things may get complicated. I do not want to put off people who wants to try it but just as a precaution. You never know.
