As a matter of interest,(I'm trying to educate myself about PC's here), if I didn't run CrapCleaner daily last thing at night, would the useless files and gunk stay on my system forever, building up like bat droppings in a cave and eventually clog up my PC?

Yes, but very slowly. I run it monthly and it removes a lot of files, most of them are small but the mount up.

You use up more memory by keeping you Internet pages in history and using trial programs (installed, used once, don't like it but cant be bothered to uninstall).
