When I click on Internet Explorer from Start-Programmes, the AOL dial-up appears. Why is this and how can I 'use'IE independently of AOL?
Thanks, as always, for any help!

If you click on the AOL icon on the toolbar you can change AOL to what you want or don't want it todo.

You have probably made AOL your Home Page, go to AOL Preferences click on associations and it will tell you how to undo associations.

If AOL is your isp you will have to minimise it, and then run your browser of choice.
