IE7 Start Page

I have installed the final release of IE7. When it starts up, it loads the customise run once page where you are supposed to set your language, homepage etc. However, all I get is Page Error and it load a blank page. I have changed my homepage to Google but it only goes to that when I hit the Homepage button. How do I stop the runonce page loading? Thanks.

if I remember rightly there is a box to tick "Don't show this again"

No, that only appears on the new tab page.

Had the same problem at the beginning. This one-off page needs to be loaded just to get shot of it.
I just opened IE and if it failed to load I then closed and reopened until it eventually loaded.
Once the background changes to a blue colour then it should load ok. Didn't use any settings preferences just clicked ok to get rid. Perseverance for me.

Thank you all for your help. I eventually narrowed it down to the ntl netguard software. Once disabled, I was able to complete the details and th problem did not re-occur. Thanks again, your help is appreciated.
