When IE7 is installed system freezes. For some reason it unfreezes when task manager is displayed then immediately ended.

If I remove both Microsoft wireless intellimouse and its software driver, then revert to a wired mouse, I dont get this problem. I have tried downloading the most up to date driver, but still no joy.

Anyone help ?

Funnily enough there have been a few mouse problems many have been with Logitech mice.

Will your mouse work without the software installed and using the generic XP drivers? To find out plug it in and see if the found new hardware baloon comes up.

I suspect a wireless mouse requires drivers due to its wireless nature but nevertheless worth a try
