Morning all. Been thinking about installing IE7 and was wondering if anyone after downloading disabled their A/V and Antispyware software before installing? One other thing, should I make a restore point before installation? J.B.

Yes I did, the install procedure recommends disabling the Anti virus protection.

Yes you should make a restore point for safety.

If I remember right ,It tells you to disable Anti-virus and Firewall,But they restart anyway after the reboot.

Correct. I feel that if you don't follow instructions like that when they are given, there is a great risk of corruption.

Thank you for all the information, I did the install and so far everything works. Fingers crossed it's not to bad at first glance. There are a bunch of threads on IE7 so will review those first before asking for any more help, Thanks again. J.B.
