Windows XP Athlon 1.9 512mb ram.
When ever a second ie window pops up ie freezes and comes up with the programme not responding message, ctr, alt, del is only way to clear ie6. Anyone have any suggestions to clearing this problem.
Many thanks

Try going to add/remove, find IE6, and select remove, it should give you the option to repair it.

on the PC Advisor CD there should be the latest IE6 release. Just run it and install it over the current IE6, and damaged files should be replaced or updated, and all your settings should be kept too.

control panel/add remove programs/add or remove windows components/internet explorer and it should give the option to remove/repair here.

or try inserting the windows disc if you have one then click start/run and type sfc /scannow
