IE Script Error

  SGBowen 12:28 22 May 05

I have just upgraded to Windows 2000. When I try to use a troubleshooter from the Help file I get this message:
Internet Explorer Script Error
Line 11
Char 7
Error Object doesn't support this property or method
Code 0
URL mk:@MSITStore C:\Windows\Help\shoot.chm::/tsprint_result.htm

Can anyone help?

Shut down all progs..

Paste this into run

Find "tshoot.inf" right click it and click install. Reboot

Thanks for suggestion, but it hasn't done the trick. Any more ideas?

  spikeychris 17:49 22 May 05

Do you have all the service packs installed?

  spikeychris 18:03 22 May 05

If you have the service packs installed then from run type cmd and hit enter. Paste the below into the box and hit enter..

regsvr32 /u c:\winnt\system32\hhctrl.ocx

Then type the below and hit enter again..

regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\hhctrl.ocx

If you recieve an error messgae with the first command then type this instead.

regsvr32 /u c:\windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx

Do the same with the other...

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx

The above info is asuming that C is your drive letter.

No - still no improvement. Any more suggestions?

  spikeychris 10:01 23 May 05

If the above hasn't helped then it looks like you have a nasty. Run a full AV test and run click here download the standalone version and run it, click the fix button not the scan only.

  SGBowen 10:58 23 May 05

Thank you for sticking with this, spikeychris. EZAntivirus and CWShredder did not find anything! Any more suggestions?!!

  spikeychris 11:47 23 May 05

One more thing you can do is post a hijack this log. It will mean nothing to me but Nel will have a look at it later. click here and download the file to its own folder and click the scan and save log button. A text file will pop up, copy and paste that here. You might have to split it into two posts as there is an 800 word max limit.
