IE problem with expired pages

I'm continually getting the following error message when I try and use the 'back' button in IE, and have to do a page refresh to get it back - any ideas how to fix this?

2/go in tools/internet options, and under the section for temp interent files, clikc settings and clikc where it says check for new web page,click to this to automatic
