IE opens too small

XP SP2 Home. IE 7.

In order to copy some text into a Word document, I recently reduced the size of the window that Internet Explorer occupied to about half the screen, by dragging the bottom of its window upwards.

Now, whenever I click a link to open a new IE window, it opens at this reduced size. I drag the bottom of the window down before I close the window, but this doesn't make any difference to the way it opens the next time.

Is there an Internet Options setting that I should be changing?

Thanks for any advice.

when you drag window to full size close useing File> exit and not the X in top right corner...

..and then it will 'remember' what size to be when it reopens

I've got IE7 and can't work out how to do file / exit. Where is is? Or do I need to switch to classic view to get this option?

Right click on the bar where the tabs are. You will get a menu. Choose Menu bar from this.

Go to Tools, on the drop down menu tick the item Menu Bar and then you will get the old File, Edit, View etc alongside your links. You can then access File Exit from there.
