IE - Faves - Links Folder

Despite very regular removal of the Links folder in IE6, I cannot get rid of it. Everytime I delete it, it appears next time I boot up.

Can it be got rid of and if so how. Cheers. Paul

I don't think that you can delete it permanently because it is part of IE. Out of curiosity, why do you want to delete it?

Thanks AubreyS. I thought it might be an intergral part of IE. I couldnt find anything to show this though.

Reason for getting rid of is to tidy up the Faves colum. Nothing more than that. It takes up space.

If all you want to do is have a tidy up, just delete what you don't want in it and then leave it empty. I'm sorry if I'm stating the obvious. I use the links bar all the time. My very fave site on the internet is in there. Any guesses?

Right click Links, Properties and make it "Hidden". It will not then be seen.

Well done Powerless, thats one way of doing it.

Thanks for the tip. It works and helps my clean up.

AubreyS - thanks for your input too.
