I have a main computer linked to a printer and to the Internet via a Netgear router.

I have a laptop which is linked to the Internet through the Netgear router both wirelessly and wired.

I want to be able to print from the laptop through my main computer but need an idiots guide to working me through the set up.

Any help please would be most appreciated.

ID imagine you are sharing files between both already so the simple steps would be to

Right click the printer from the main computer
Select Sharing
Share printer and give it a name.

Then from the laptop
Add a printer
Browse for a network printer
Select the one you have just shared

And hopefully bob will be your uncle.

Thanks robbiepaul, but as yet I am not sharing files - how do I set this up please?

basically from Network and Internet connections choose setup or change home office network.

Follow the prompts its simple enough...do this on both computers or use the xp disk/floppy instead as suggested from the prompts.

Give a try shout back here if any problems and ill hunt around and post afew links for reading.

Cant really spend time with big explanation myself, as im at work :)
