Hi I bought an old MOBO for a few quid
I have been trying to load win 98 onto the HD.
In set-up the HD is called SCSI do I need a SCSI HD for the board.
The board is from the eleitegroup and is a slot 1 or 370 pin. the actual number on the box is MB P6

I will be starting from a fresh formatted HD.
I put in my XP-CD to see if it would boot, after changing the settings to boot from CD but still no boot up.
Formatted fat32.

Change the setup in the bios to 1st boot device cd/dvd, 2nd to ide hdd.
It could be that the previous owner used scsi.

Hi the options were
A C Scsi.
C A. E A. F A. D A. Scsi.
Scsi A C.
Scsi C A.
C only.
CD C A.
C CD A
LS Zip C.

To boot from a: I have to use A C Scsi.
Now loading |Win 98 thanks.
