IDE to SATA adapters

Help please,I bought a new Sata DVD drive and of course when I opened up the computer I discovered that the old one had IDE fittings. Exchanging the unit is not an option and I was wondering if any of the advertised adapters would solve the problem without spending a lot of money, Thanks

If you buy a SATA case for you new drive it will connect via a USB cable and bypass the IDE/SATA problem. (relatively cheap)

You will then have an external HD which can be used like any other

I have bought 3 so far, and at less than a £5 they (Inc P&P) are great.

Did have one with a faulty PSDU, but they replaced it.
