Icons /List

I prefer the contents of my folders to be in list form but at the moment they are icon form.I change them to list but when I go back into the folders they have reverted back to icons how do I get them to stay as list.

I'm assuming you're using WinXP.

Open any folder, & change the view to List.

Then click on the Tools menu near the top & choose Folder Options in the drop-down menu. On the View tab, under Advanced settings:
- put a tick next to 'Remember each folder's view settings', &
- remove the tick from 'Restore previous folder windows at logon'

Then click on the 'Apply to All Folders' button. Apply > OK & exit.

Now check to see if it works as you need it. G
