Hi all,

Was reading a post earlier from flak999 about custom icons missing from Favorites Menu,I know i'm a sad git,but is there a way to get the custom icons onto the All Programs menu, they are all present in Control Panel > Add\Remove but seem to change after install.

Regards Bob.

If you're using XP,navigate to

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

rightclick the program name, select Properties/Customise Tab and click Change Icon at the bottom. In the ensuing dialog box, browse to that program's folder, select the .exe and click "Open". Select your icon in the dialog box and click Apply/OK.

Hi leo49,

Thanks for response, sorry I missed it at the time, thought I'd caught everybody out with something they didn't know. (yeah right!!):0)

Thanks again,

I was trawling for the ones that slipped through the net.

You can also make your program folders stand out by doing exactly the same in the C:\Program Files folder.
