hi im trying to change an icon to the one the program uses
my midifiles icon changed from the original one to another one (logic platinum to wmp icon)for no reason how do i get it back to original icon

Right click the file, select Open With. Browse to select the program you want to use and tick the box 'Always use this program to open this type of file'.

Right click on icon select properties.
Click change icon if the icon you want isn't in the box click browse and go to the folder you installed the program in. Probably c:/program files/?

hi tried that but as ive said the icon does not change to original icon used for program its still the one it changed to
i can open midis with logic platinum as my default now
just cant get original icon back thanks kirriejim

Have you tried Start/Programs/highlight logic platinum select the icon used to open program from the menu right click it/go to send to/desktop.
A shortcut should appear on your desktop.
