Icon to show when WiFi is active?

This is probably simple?

On my laptop, there is an icon to show the state of the WiFi. That's OK But, what I would like on my desktop pc. is an icon in the system tray to show if data is actually being transferred between the two machines. My router and its indicators are not in a particularly visible location.

This is only because, a couple of times, I have supposedly transferred files between the two machines - only to find that it hadn't happened!

I thought such icons were easy to find... somewhere in the depths of the Control Panel; but guess what. I can't.

As soon as I looked again, I found it!

Control Panel>Network Connections right-click on your Local Area Connection, then Properties and tick the box to 'Show Icon in notification area when connected'.

Then right-click the icon and click on Status to see Packets sent/received.
