Icon changing

Hi is there any way i can change an icon in my start menu with one of my own?
I have created a new folder in my start menu and i want to put a icon next to it that suits the folder name, can this be done, if so how?
Also when creating a icon, what do i save it as?

right click the program go to properties then click change icon

That sounds good, now all i want to know is after creating an icon what will i save it as? Also I dont have change icon in any properties. I run win/98

Of course you don't have change icon in Properties - that's why I use the above program!

Save as an .ico.
