Using XP Pro/SP2.
Some site I use have pop ups that link to other parts of their site.
My XP setup blocks these even when I allow pop ups from that site in IE.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx

Try holding Ctrl then clicking the link

I found IE's handling of pop-ups and a number of other things irritating to say the least after installing SP2.That's why I switched over to Firefox.

It would be advisable to turn off op up blocker. Do this in IE, click on Tools menu>pop up blocker>turn off pop up blocker....TT

Acolyte - this works on about 10% of the pop-ups.

The Terminator - have turned it off but when I am not looking it comes back on again (creepy)

Gudgulf - bit set in my ways but may have to do this if all else fails.

Thanx again

Thanx VoG™.
Just been away for a few days but have printed the article and will read, and hopefully digest, when I have got a spare moment.

I think that "Granny" is just interested in this thread, so added a post so that this thread will be added to "my postings" for future reference....

You may have another pop-up blocker (like NIS) and the Ctrl function isn't reconised...

Thanx mattyc_92.
Should have realised I guess - good way of getting it on 'my postings'
Nope to the blocker just good old XP Pro SP2 although I do have Norton SW Pro but I do not think that stopper is active (assuming it has one)...I must check
