I know this is a stupid req but

I should know the answer to this, but how do I make my pc open a file maximised in XP. It is infuriating having to maximise every file or folder when I open it.

Instead of clicking to open it, Right click it.
Then Properties. On the Shortcut tab, next to the word RUN, choose Maximized.

GEEWIS357's question interests me and I checked out your reply but I haven't yet found Shortcut Tab either.

Try opening one file then grab the double headed arrow at the corners and stretch the window to fill the screen, close the file with the X at top right of screen and all files should now open in full screen. It has just worked for me in XP Home.

The s/c tab appears if you create a shortcut on the desktop and launch from there;-))..... all my s/c's have it
