I keep losing the "E" drive

  david-226599 17:46 19 Nov 04

when I try to record disc to disc on my computer the "E" drive vanishes from my screen and I get an error message. When I reboot the "E" drive reappears.
I have been told to reinstall windows.

P.S. it is windows XP Pro with service pack 2

any problems showing in the device manager?

thanks for the quick response wawadave,I had to go back to work to try the device manager. It comes up with a question mark against it. What does this mean..............It has worked for the last six months although I have never tried to copy disc to disc. It does not read discs properly now.....Dave
