I have formatted the hard drive as wanted it clean, where do i start

Hi. When I try to reinstall windows it says the drive needs to be formatted to NTFS, but when I try convert C: /fs:ntfs it says invalid command prompt, any ideas?

You could also type BOOTMGR is missing after format into the search box (top right PCA screen)and see loads of posts on this problem.

Done that, now when loading windows 7 i get this message: Where do you want to install windows? in a box it says Disc 0 partition 1 total size 55.9gb free, then the caution sign at the bottom says Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the setup log files for more information.....No idea what next?
