Hyperthreading: Worth a bit extra?

  smurf234 17:07 29 Jun 09

I'm looking to buy a budget PC and have two in mind on fleebay, the link to which is in my other post.

One has hyperthreading and costs an extra £20. Is it worth paying the extra for it, or is there little performance difference? I've done a little reading and can't find anything that says conclusive.

I basically only want to use my PC for internet browsing and watching some films through my tv etc. My current PC is not even up to that job.

Hyperthreading is not necessary for what you want to do.

Links here in this post are better - most of us don't hunt around for other links.
