I've connected a Homeplug to the Ethernet port to receive BBCiPlayer, but it doesn't work. (It works on my HDR).

According to Humax, it is not yet active click here

I've emailed Humax, but in the meantime, anyone else had this problem?

I think your link says it all, don't you.
I assume that the ethernet port is dormant untill such times as Humax decides to activate it.

It also says in the user manual that the ethernet port is for future services.click here

I'm hoping things have moved on since 2008. I was able to configure the port using DHCP, and the values of my router IP address and Subnet Mask are now displayed.

Humax replied that BBCiPlayer is activated. Well, it is now. I initiated a software update and voila! now working.

Graham, hope you don't mind my question to you...

I have recently picked up a Humax Fox-sat and would be keen to hear how you get on with the Homeplug as I too would like to access the BBC iplayer.
Which make/brand of Homeplug did you go for?

Thanks

No problem click here

I would recommend you plug them in adjacent sockets first to synchronise them before moving to their final positions.

The day after I get it working, channel 901 goes down. It freezes on 'Getting ready to play'.

If I go to a BBC channel and press the red button it works fine.
