HTML emails again

I'm getting confused: is it Vista which won't send html email at all, or is it dependent on whether you use IE or Firefox?

I've got IE at present, but on googling the combinations, a lot of the answers are pretty old but others (Windows Vista and Outlook 2007) seem to imply that you can.

I'm trying to keep the laptop tidy, so don't want to download FF if I can't use html anyway. All I wnat to be able to do is send email merge messages with formatted text and links.

Anyone able to help?

IE and Firefox are browsers, not e-mail clients - these are Outlook Express and (if you prefer) Thunderbird.

In Outlook Express, go to Tools>Options>Send tab and configure HTML and/or Plain Text settings.

I use Plain Test.

..or Plain Text even....

Not too sure why I mentioned IE & FF!! Old age...

I use Outlook as I need to send email merged messages to members of a club, often including formatted text and links to our website. In XP, there was no problem.

All I can do at present is to send plain text. One theory was that in Vista, you couldn't use html, but I've got confused with the whole thing.

I can't use WIndows Mail for email merge.
