Im having problems with some coding. I have bought an optimiser and it tells me I have too many words in the first sentence of my body text. I cannot separate the sentences. I have a new div>tag and text tags but this is not enough help.

body>
div id="topbar"> img src="gifs/space.jpg" alt="Realtor" width="150" height="109" class="imageleft">
div id="property" align="center">
h1>Realty /h1> /div>
div id="navbar" align="center">Leeds Realty /div>

You have omitted some of the tag openers (<). The code should look like this:

<body>
<div id="topbar"><img src="gifs/space.jpg" alt="Realtor" width="150" height="109" class="imageleft">
<div id="property" align="center">
<div id="navbar" align="center">Leeds Realty </div>

Sorry, I don't know how it happened but I keft out the heading line. Should be this:
<body>
<div id="topbar"><img src="gifs/space.jpg" alt="Realtor" width="150" height="109" class="imageleft">
<div id="property" align="center">
<h1>Realty</h1></div>
<div id="navbar" align="center">Leeds Realty</div>

Have you got the closing </body> tag? You are also missing a closing </div> tag. Otherwise it seems to work OK.

Hi beynac that is eaxactly what I have now

  FOEYDO 19:05 14 Mar 06

this is the code I have now it makes no difference

Provided you have the closing </div> and </body> tags, the code is valid html. What is this "optimiser" you are referring to?

ibp8. it says it is the first sentence which is too long so need to know how to end the first sentence

<div id="topbar"><img src="gifs/space.jpg" alt="Realtor" width="150" height="109" class="imageleft">

As Beynac has pointed out, you have missed out the </div> at the end of the first stentence! Code should read:

<body>
<div id="topbar"><img src="gifs/space.jpg" alt="Realtor" width="150" height="109" class="imageleft"></div>
<div id="property" align="center">
<h1>Realty</h1></div>
<div id="navbar" align="center">Leeds Realty</div></body>

I've had a look at what ibp8 does. As you only have the words "Realty" and "Leeds Realty" on the page, I don't see that anything can be too long to affect your listing on search engines. I think it casts a lot of doubt on the effectiveness of ibp8.
