hpdeskjet 940c - photo problems

  pulsepoint 13:14 26 Jun 08

Boring question but I can't figure this out. When I try to print photos on photo paper and have selected this paper, it prints a small band at the top of the page and then spits it out. If I set it to normal paper it prints them in full, but the quality isn't so nice. Am I missing something obvious here? On a few occasions when it was set to photo paper it didn't even try to print - just spat it out and thought the job was done.

Assuming you are selecting photo paper from the dialouge box prior to printing, then this may be a driver issue.
These can be downloaded from:

Uninstall the old ones first.

HP have never been good on Printer drivers, specially old ones
