I have an all in one hp 750 printer, and after refilling the balck cartridge, Which I have done in the past successfully, I got the error message that "incorrect black cartridge" even though it was an original HP cartridge. So I purchased a replacement compatabile cartridge & I get the same message. Is there a reset on the printer? I get this message without even trying to switch the pc on.

The only thing I can think of is that the contacts have got dirty, you should be able to clean them with a cotton bud dipped in alcohol, preferably isopropyl alcohol.

Thanks gongoozler, I have tried cleaning with an electrical contact spray, similar to wd40, but so far no good. I picked up a lot of dried up black ink, so I will try a few more times, in case it still needs a clean.
