HP Laptop charger compatability output

Hi All

My current laptop (hp pavilion g6) has a 65w charger with output of 19.5v/3.33a.(Original charger that came with the machine)

I have another charger, again 65w but with an out put of 18.5v/3.5a.

Would it be o.k / safe to use the second charger with my laptop without causing any damage?

The differences in the two chargers are negligible. There should be no problems. I assume they have the sane plugs.

Because the voltage is lower it would be safe to try

Never use a charger where the voltage is higher than recommended.

The other charger is also a HP so will fit no problem

It just might not fully charge your battery but try it and see, you won't cause any damage.
